Collection: Jeweler's
The history of jewelry is long and goes back many years, with many different uses among different cultures. It has endured for thousands of years and has provided various insights into how ancient cultures functioned.
The earliest known jewelry was actually not created by humans (Homo sapiens) but by Neanderthals living in Europe. Specifically, perforated beads made of small seashells dating back 115,000 years have been found in the Cueva de los Aviones, a cave along the southeastern coast of Spain.
