Browning Hi-Power Grip Compatibility Guide: Find Your Perfect Match

At Western Buckles Co., we craft premium collection grips in 18/20 gauge alpaca with exquisite finishes in 24K gold, silver, or black nickel. To ensure your order arrives perfectly matched, it's essential to correctly identify the Browning Hi-Power 9mm model your grips are designed for. This guide focuses on visible characteristics and commercial names; we do not cover technical or installation details.

The Browning Hi-Power may be listed as:

"Hi-Power", "HP 9mm", "P35 / HP35", "Browning 9mm", or "FN Hi-Power" (certain editions)

Check these first:

Invoice, receipt, or warranty card — displays the exact commercial name.

Original case or manual — check the cover or spine for model identification.

Visible markings on the frame exterior (no disassembly required).

When examining the safety lever, note that some versions feature a left-side safety only, while others are ambidextrous. This difference affects the upper contour of the grip panel.

The screw location sits at the center of the panel (visible from the front). This must align with the perforation on our grips.

Finish aesthetics — classic blued/black versus modern matte tones. While finish doesn't change the shape, it helps identify the specific version.

Tip: If you're uncertain, take two clear side-profile photos (left and right) of your grip or case and share them with us. We'll guide you before you purchase.
