The scorpion is Durango's animal and a northern charm against harm — worn as a warning as often as an ornament, and cut into buckles here long before it reached grips. This one is 24K gold-plated in raised relief against a silver-plated field, with black artisan resin filling the corners and gold scrollwork running the border, every finish laid over an alpaca silver alloy base and cut by hand in our Guadalajara workshop, where the family has been making western pistol grips since 1984.
