The rooster is the bird of the palenque and of nerve held under pressure, and against a dark ground its comb and tail read as sharply as engraving allows. Here it is 24K gold-plated inside a textured black-nickel medallion, with gold scrollwork running the panel below, every finish laid over an alpaca silver alloy base and cut by hand in our Guadalajara workshop, where the family has been making western pistol grips since 1984. Fits the Colt 1911 Full-Size — .45 ACP, .38 Super, Kimber 9mm 1911, Rock Island.
