The rooster is the bird the Mexican west put on everything worth defending, and here he sits in 24K gold-plated relief against a field of silver-plated scrollwork cut by hand, with white pearl resin filling the openwork above. Both finishes are applied over an alpaca silver alloy base and engraved in our Guadalajara workshop, where the Ortiz family has been making western pistol grips since 1984. Fits the Colt 1911 Full-Size in .45 ACP and .38 Super, plus Kimber 9mm 1911 and Rock Island, and ships with matching gold-plated mounting screws.
