The eagle on the nopal is the emblem of the founding of Tenochtitlan and the center of the flag that followed it — the piece most often asked for by name at our bench. Here the eagle is 24K gold-plated and lifted over a hand-engraved black-nickel field, with tricolor artisan resin at the base, every finish laid over an alpaca silver alloy base and cut by hand in our Guadalajara workshop, where the family has been making western pistol grips since 1984.
